Terms of Service

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Squad Goals. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
2. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account with accurate information (including your name and email). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Use of the Service
You agree to:
- Use Squad Goals only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Not upload or share any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, abusive, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
4. User Content
- You retain ownership of the content (photos, videos, workout logs, or other data) you upload to Squad Goals.
- By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely for operating the Service.
- Promotional Use of Content (optional): With your explicit consent, you may allow us to use your uploaded content in Squad Goals marketing or promotional materials (e.g., in ads, on social media, or on our website). You can withdraw this consent at any time.
5. Fitness Disclaimer
Squad Goals is designed for motivation and accountability only. We are not a medical provider and the Service does not provide medical advice. Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. By using the Service, you acknowledge that exercise involves risks of injury, and you assume full responsibility for your participation.
6. Group Pots and Accountability
- Squad Goals allows group members to set workout goals and track penalties when goals are missed. These penalties accumulate in a “group pot” that is displayed in the app for accountability purposes.
- Important: Squad Goals does not process or transfer money. The group pot amounts are for tracking only.
- It is the responsibility of each group’s members to arrange any real payment or settlement of amounts outside of the app (e.g., through Venmo, PayPal, cash, or other methods).
- Squad Goals is not responsible for any disputes or issues that arise regarding real-world payments between users.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in-app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by Squad Goals and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Squad Goals and its creator(s) are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for using the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
- Any disputes will be resolved by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted remotely.
- You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis, and not as part of a class action.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the new Terms.
